Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

  Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I first visited Poquitos in 2012, also for happy hour, and I remembered liking it then, too. My name is Kelli and I'm a photographer based in Seattle, WA. I spent my childhood in the town of Columbia Falls, Montana, right outside of Glacier National Park. Growing up, I always had a camera in my hands. For second grade show and tell, I brought my camera. When it came time for college, I couldn't wait to move to Seattle and study photography. I attended the Art Institute of Seattle and received my associate's degree in Commercial Photography in 2002.

Right after graduation, I started freelancing. I shot weddings, portraits, and events. Around 2007 I discovered an interest in food photography. Going out to eat in Seattle and while traveling is a blast for me. There's nothing more fun than trying new foods and restaurants, then returning home and writing about them. I also enjoy researching new recipes, mostly desserts.

I love photography and capturing moments that will last a lifetime.
