March Food and Drinks
Tomorrow is the last day of March. It was a long month, but we finally made it to spring. I spent most of the month doing my Disney World photos, editing photos and blogging. I even got back into Scrapbooking, a hobby I started doing as a teenager. I created a theme park scrapbook with my Disney trips and other theme park trips. Meanwhile, I still had time to try some unique drinks around Seattle and ate some good food this month!
My husband and I had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. I wanted to try their new Yuzu cocktails. I had a Yuzu Drop, the drink on the right, and he had a Japanese Whiskey Sour. They were so delicious, especially since I love anything Yuzu flavored.
This month Starbucks introduced some new spring drinks. One of them is the Iced Cherry Chai Latte. This drink hit the spot! It reminded me of a cherry soda float. So good!
My husband's been watching cooking shows on TV and getting some new cooking inspo. One of the items he made was this lovely Pasta Carbonara. He used bacon instead of pancetta. This is now on our meal rotation, and he's made it several times now. Delicious!
Our family went to Ikea last week to buy some new rugs. We had dinner in the cafe. The food was just ok. I had this Butterscotch Chocolate tart, and it was pretty good. It did look better than it tasted, however.
We had a Seattle day last week where the weather was warm for a day. It was almost 70 degrees. My husband and I went out for lunch at Paseo where we could sit on their patio. We shared some Caribbean Roast Nachos, and we each had a Tiki drink. These are our favorite nachos in town. He had a Painkiller drink, and I had a Prickly Pear Margarita. Their drinks are so great!
My sons and I finally tried making the viral frozen Gummy Bears. They looked really cool but tasted mushy. To make these, take a small packet of Gummy Bears and pour Sprite over them. Refrigerate overnight, covered. Put in the freezer for three hours. The center was really hard, and the outside was mushy. This was a one and done experiment for us!
My husband and son picked up these bright and colorful cupcakes for us from the store. They were so spring-like looking! The frosting was really sweet and thick, a perfect treat!
That's a wrap up of my food and drinks from March! I'm looking forward to April because of Easter and Spring Break.
