January Eats and Drinks
We survived another January, and that should be celebrated. Here in Seattle, we got lucky with not much rain, tons of sunny days, and outstanding sunsets. It was chilly, but beautiful overall. As I write this, it's pouring outside, on the last day of January. The month ended up feeling 100 days long, but somehow, we made it. With the holidays over, I tried to eat less treats, but it was still hard to resist. I tried some fun food and drinks this month.
The first part of January gave us a neat and tasty collab between Krispy Kreme and Pop-Tarts! I tried the Chocolate Fudge doughnut and the Strawberry one, and they definitely tasted like both Pop-Tarts and doughnuts. They also looked so cute!
My in-laws traveled to Vietnam and brought us back some unique Kit Kats! These Pineapple Kit Kat's were so good!
One night we dined at The Harvest Vine, a Spanish Tapas restaurant in Seattle. I'm still dreaming about this Basque Cheesecake! So creamy and satisfying!
The cocktails from Post Pike in Georgetown are a standout! Especially their Espresso Martini!
The month I finally got to try Dubai chocolate! See that post here. It tasted incredible and it was really unique. At Starbucks, on their secret menu, you can get Dubai chocolate in drink form. Just order an iced Grande Matcha Latte, with two pumps of Pistachio syrup, and the chocolate cold foam on top. We ended up really liking the drink and it did taste like the Dubai chocolate!
This month, The Flora Bakehouse in Beacon Hill celebrated their four-year birthday. For the occasion they were selling Funfetti Cruffins and Vegan Funfetti Coconut Cake! I bought the cruffin for my son and he enjoyed it, and I had the cake, which is some of the best cake in Seattle. Happy Birthday to The Flora Bakehouse!
January 29th was Chinese New Year, so we celebrated with some takeout Dim Sum from the Dim Sum House in Beacon Hill. My favorites are the Pork Potstickers and the Custard Bao Buns!
Let's end the month on a sweet note!
We ended January with dinner at Red Robin and some shopping at the mall. For dessert we shared this Shortbread Chocolate Souffle Cake!
