Checking out the new T&T Supermarket in Bellevue

The largest Asian supermarket in WA state opened last month in Bellevue. T&T Supermarket is the first one to open in the U.S! There's also plans to open another location in Lynnwood, WA soon. T&T Supermarket started in Vancouver, BC in 1993. The location we visited in Bellevue is located in the Factoria area and has been busy since they opened. When they opened last month in December, there were twenty-minute lines outside just to get in, and then more lines to pay. There's a reason why we waited a month to go.

There were no lines when we went, but the store was pretty crowded. The store is big and kind of overwhelming. They have a nice sized bakery, a large selection of sushi, and even hot food like chicken wings, fried rice, and other Asian dishes. Everything looked fresh and authentic. My family chose some sushi and chicken wings to try for dinner. They even have boba tea that looked great for $5.50. The prices did seem a little high compared to other Asian stores around Seattle.

I found two unique desserts I tried when I got home. The Peach Strawberry Swiss Roll was amazing. So moist, soft, sweet, and full of flavor from the two fruits. The other treat I got was the Mousse Mochi Cake. This pretty dessert had a mochi outside with a spongy center and was also so tasty! My son got the Japanese Cheesecake which we all also loved. Perfectly soft and spongy, yet light and so satisfying.

At the entrance they also have a large seating area and even a Savory Crepes stand which people were lining up for. We checked out one in Richmond, BC in the past, but it seemed much smaller.

Have you visited T&T Supermarket before? What is your must have item to buy there?
