A Media Preview Event at The Elf Bar
I was invited to a media preview event inside the Astra Hotel in Seattle at The Elf Bar. This holiday pop-up is being held this December on the second floor of the hotel. The theme is from the classic Elf movie. You'll find signature cocktails with nods to the movie. The whole space is decked out with lights and lots of festive decor.
A couple of elves will be your host and will lead you in a Scavenger Hunt, Elf Trivia, and they'll even sing for you. Matilda the elf was so sweet and funny with her Elf quotes and did great staying in character throughout the event. For the media preview they had a huge dessert bar for us. There were Nutella Beignets, Deep Fried Uncrustables, Peppermint Bark, cupcakes, brownies, and even the spaghetti with candy and marshmallows just like Buddy the Elf eats in the movie. They had some syrup on the side you could pour over, just how Buddy likes his.
I hadn't eaten dinner yet, so I only tried a Beignet and an Uncrustable. I was a little disappointed they didn't have anything savory, but Buddy the Elf only likes desserts, so they were trying to stay on theme for us! We received one welcome drink when we arrived. They had a bar set up and those drinks were available for purchase. I tried an I'm In Love cocktail. In the movie, Buddy shouts this in the department store for everyone to hear. This cocktail had pear, Grand Marnier, and Lychee Lemon Syrup.
If you want to check out this Seattle holiday pop-up, you need a timed ticket. Admission is $16 and includes a welcome drink. It's a 21 and over event, except for the first time slot on the weekends.
This was a fun event to be invited to and I'm glad I was able to check it out!
