Happy Hour at El Sirenito

This happy hour spot with a heated outdoor patio in Georgetown should be on everyone's foodie list. Small and cozy, El Sirenito is underrated, and slightly overlooked by its sister restaurant, Fonda La Catrina.  El Sirenito serves authentic coastal-Mexican food. They also have the largest selection of Mezcal in Seattle. Similar to tequila since they're both agave spirits, mezcal and tequila have different production methods, flavors, and varieties.

We dined here in the past, but didn't take advantage of the happy hour or the spacious outdoor patio. The happy hour here is notable, since the street tacos are just $3 and you can get $2 off their signature cocktails. I ordered the Guava House Margarita. It came with a Tajin rim and tasted pretty much perfect. I also went with three of the street tacos. The pork taco was overly spicy, but I liked the pickled onions and the asada tacos were just alright. My husband ordered the Ceviche which had Rock Fish. It was good, but a little too salty.

We enjoyed the drinks and the vibes on the patio, especially with the large fire behind us and the heaters. The patio is also covered, which is perfect for this time of year.
