Lunch at Beacon Grill at Jefferson Park Golf Course

Two BBQ selections from the grill, along with two sides, from Beacon Grill.

While our boys were at church camp, my husband and I went out for a quiet lunch. We go to Jefferson Park as a family regularly, but we'd never visited the Jefferson Park Golf Course area. Right next to the driving range is the golf club and the cafe, the Beacon Grill. There they have a full bar and American cuisine, including BBQ.

They have a partly shaded outdoor space with covered picnic tables, along with indoor seating. Since it was a sunny day, we opted for eating outside. You order your food and drinks inside at the counter and they'll bring it to you when its ready. We tried the Tepache Tiki Tee which was a fruity rum drink and the Jefferson Transfusion. This drink had Vodka, lime juice, grape juice, and Ginger Ale. We preferred the Tiki drink to the grape drink.

To eat we shared a BBQ platter with Brisket and Pulled Pork. We chose fries and potato salad as our sides. It also came with bread. We didn't expect the food to be so good! The Brisket especially was really tender and almost melted in our mouths. The fries were crinkle cut, which is my favorite type of fry. It was nice to eat and drink outside while watching people golf.

This spot at the golf course is so underrated! I wish we would have checked it out earlier. I'm sure we'll be back soon for more awesome brisket and strong cocktails!
