July Eats and Drinks

July was full of national food days, as you'll see below. July was a fun month filled with unique cocktails and so many delicious eats!

July 18th was National Dole Whip Day. I found a Dole Whip at Matcha Man Seattle, in Georgetown. Here I discovered a fun Cherry and Lime Swirl Dole Whip served in a sugar cone with strawberry Pocky sticks and rainbow sprinkles! To say it was yummy and refreshing would be an understatement!

My son really wanted to make Tanghulu, a Chinese Candied Fruit. We used strawberries and it was actually quite easy to make. We used a recipe online, there are many to choose from. We were happy with how ours turned out and my son loved them.

We had dinner at The Harvest Vine, a Spanish Tapas spot in Madison Park. We loved the ice cream, they were chocolate-cherry, honey-pine nut, and strawberry goat cheese. Their ice cream is so underrated, and such a perfect way to end a meal.

We also enjoyed the Tarta De Santiago. This dessert is a lemon scented cinnamon-almond cake with an amazing lemon curd and fresh whipped cream.

To drink at The Harvest Vine, I enjoyed an Aperol Spritz, which is such a nice thing to sip on a summer's evening at a tapas place.

One Saturday, we met my in-laws at Westfield Southcenter to have lunch in the food court. We bought some Mochi Donuts from Mochinut, we were going to buy only one, but you do have to purchase at least three. The one I tried was the Pistachio Cheesecake one, it was memorable and so satisfying!

These photos are obviously out of order from the month of July, but July 11th, was 7-11. That meant 7-Eleven was giving out free Slurpee's! This was actually my first 7-Eleven Slurpee, and I chose a Peach one that tasted just like the peach ring gummy candies!

On July 11th, Starbucks gave out these cool and colorful reusable straws for Free Straw Day. You just had to buy an iced beverage.

On July 4th we enjoyed these patriotic star ice cream sandos, which we found at Safeway. I liked how one side was blue and the other was red!

One afternoon after getting a haircut, I grabbed an Iced Matcha with a Salted Cookie Creme that was 10 out of 10!

At BJ's Brewhouse at Westfield Southcenter, we found these adorable Lucky Ducky cocktails! Each drink came in a small tub glass and we loved it! They were also very tasty drinks, lucky for us!

Since our sons had never dined at Din Tai Fung, we took them to the location at Westfield Southcenter.
They really liked the Xiao Long Bao, pictured here. This time we tried the Pork ones and they hit just like the Chicken Xiao Long Bao.

July 24th was National Tequila Day and Paseo in Seattle had $5 Margaritas. We took advantage and had lunch there. We tried the Mango and the Prickly Pear. They were strong drinks and paired so well with the food. We had the Caribbean Roast Nachos like usual. They're packed with pulled pork, melted cheddar cheese, onions, and pineapple, on crispy tortilla chips. Always a fav!

That wraps up my July Eats and Drinks post! Hopefully I'll have some more fun photos to share for August, too!
