Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Eggnog Bread

Eggnog Bread is perfect for Christmas breakfast or brunch!

Eggnog is one of those hit or miss holiday foods. Either you love it or hate it. I'm an eggnog fan here, so when I saw a recipe for Eggnog Bread, I wanted to make it for Christmas morning. The whole house smelled like nutmeg and eggnog when I was done!

My bread had a subtle eggnog flavor because I used a lighter version that has coconut. I would recommend using the real thing, though! I also frosted mine before it was totally cooled, and the glaze/frosting went everywhere. I used both green and red sprinkles on mine to make it look festive!

I found the recipe here, on therebelchick.com.
