Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I first visited Poquitos in 2012, also for happy hour, and I remembered liking it then, too. A Visit to Greenlake Bar and Grill

A Cranberry Mule from Greenlake Bar and Grill.

A classic spot in Green Lake, Greenlake Bar and Grill has been going strong for twenty years. They serve American comfort food made with high quality ingredients. We kind of stumbled upon this neighborhood restaurant. We went here for an appetizer and a round of drinks while we waited for our table at Wooden City Tavern, right across the street.

Greenlake Bar and Grill is such a fun place to be this time of year. Their interior is decked out with Christmas trees, and other decor. The vibe was classy felt festive. I had a Cranberry Mule, a holiday cocktail which I can't remember the actual name of. We also shared the Burrata Bruschetta. It was fresh with lots of tomatoes. My sons shared the Mac and Cheese from the kid's menu. We didn't know when Wooden City would call us, so we were in a little bit of a rush. We were able to pay right when we got our food, so we could leave when we needed to.

They have happy hour throughout the restaurant Monday through Friday from 3-5. They also have brunch on the weekends with $6 Mimosas which would be fun to check out.
