Dinner at The Harvest Vine | Summer Dining On Their Outdoor Patio

A Vinegar Cured Anchovy Skewer with Pippara Peppers and Anchovy Stuffed Olives and some wonderful Gazpacho Andaluz, chilled tomato soup, from The Harvest Vine.

Summer in Seattle is a perfect time to dine outside at one of the city's many great restaurants. One notable spot I enjoy and can never get enough of the flavors and ambiance is The Harvest Vine. On our most recent visit, we ate outside on their patio. It felt like a secret garden, being surrounded by plants while sipping on a glass of Rose Cava, a cold sparkling wine.

Gazpacho is one of my favorite things, especially to enjoy in the warmer months. This chilled tomato soup has peppers and cucumbers. Gazpacho was the first thing I ever tried at The Harvest Vine. It was during a Bastille Day celebration years ago. I remember being so wowed by the flavors and the cool soup, enjoying and being wowed by new flavors at the time. My husband always likes getting the Anchovy Skewer with peppers. This is a spicy little appetizer to whet your palate!

Ordering the Cheese Plate is always a good idea. My favorite part is the Bleu Cheese and Candied Walnuts!

Speaking of cheese, something most of us can't get enough of, the Seared Goat Cheese is also excellent. This version comes with confit cherry tomatoes, which paired well with the cheese.

My husband enjoyed a glass of red vine, which went well with our red meat dishes. They have a huge assortment of wine, how does one choose?

My sons were big fans of the Cordero, the Grilled Lamb. It came with two pieces of lamb and a hazelnut picada and escalivida (a salad of grilled vegetables). It was perfectly cooked, and we really liked the sauce. The vegetables were also nice and helped clean the palate. They were seasoned well, and the veggies had no right tasting so good!

Our other meat dish was the Beef Shoulder, the Vaca. The Grilled Beef Shoulder was cooked just right and also seasoned perfectly. It came with grilled escarole which is a leafy green vegetable and an almond romesco sauce.

Then it was time for dessert. It's always go big or go home when it comes to their dessert menu. The ice cream changes regularly and is made in-house. An order comes with three flavors, which is perfect for groups. We tried the Salted Caramel, a Berry Chocolate, and a Strawberry Priorat (a Spanish red wine).

We also shared the Flourless Chocolate Cake which came with wine-soaked cherries. Then we had the Lemon Scented Pine Nut Tart with quince, lemon curd, and whipped cream. I loved the lemon curd on this one. We finished every bite of the desserts, and we were stuffed to the gills.
