Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

  Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I first visited Poquitos in 2012, also for happy hour, and I remembered liking it then, too. Checking out the new Lula Coffee location in Seattle

 

A tasty and rich iced Pistachio Mocha from the new Lula Coffee location on Airport Way S. 


Lula Coffee Co just opened another location in Seattle, on Airport Way S. Their other location is in West Seattle and we visited it once before. I like their pink aesthetic in their shops and their drinks are unique and taste delicious. I missed their Grand Opening by a couple of days. They were selling drinks for just $2. I ordered an iced Pistachio Mocha and I couldn't get enough of it. I like pistachio flavored anything, and pair that with chocolate? It's a win for me. 

Their new location is bigger with more seating and with even more pink vibes. This would be the perfect coffeeshop to have a little girl time, catching up with friends. I did however see guys chilling there, too. Lula Coffee also has a drive-thru like their West Seattle location, if you need some quick caffeine but don't want to hang out in the pink oasis. Their coffee drinks are strong and gave me a nice buzz. They also have shakes, juice, kid's drinks such as hot cocoa, and other fun looking drinks!
