Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I first visited Poquitos in 2012, also for happy hour, and I remembered liking it then, too. A Visit to the Chihuly Garden and Glass | Spring 2023

The botanical garden at the Chihuly Garden and Glass at Seattle Center.

In 2012 the Chihuly Garden and Glass art exhibition opened in Seattle. I visited that spring, and this week I had the chance to go again. My sons had a field trip there and I went as a chaperone. Lucky me! My sons and their friends were excited to check out the bright and bold glass works of artist Dale Chihuly. Inside the Glasshouse, are eight rooms and three drawing rooms showcasing the artist's glass works.

After looking around, you are then invited to check out the Garden, when in the spring and summer is a peaceful and inspiring place to hang out. The Space Needle looms over you, along with big and bold art pieces in front of the Glasshouse.

This is a unique and fun Seattle attraction, especially on warm and sunny days!
