Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Westlake Park During the Holidays

It's officially the holiday season in downtown Seattle. This year, there's more events and Christmas attractions to check out than the two previous years. The first thing my family and I did this year was visit Westlake Park, right across from Westlake Center, and see the holiday displays and lights. This year they have a huge adorable lit up bear to pose in front of. Too cute!

The star is up on the old Macy's building and the Christmas tree is also lit up. It's definitely fun to be in downtown this time of year!

What events and light displays are you planning on attending this holiday season? Leave a comment below!
