Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I first visited Poquitos in 2012, also for happy hour, and I remembered liking it then, too. Halloween Treats and Pretty Fall Foliage

Scary good treats, seasonal coffees, and beautiful fall colors are some of the highlights of fall! This year I tried two Halloween desserts. An Ube soft serve with Halloween sprinkles with a Midnight waffle cone from Milk Drunk and a Scaredy Cat doughnut from Krispy Kreme! Both treats were so tasty it was spooky! At Starbucks this season, I had an Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte with whipped cream. Highly recommend! I also tried an Iced Apple Crisp Oat Milk Macchiato and a really cute owl cake pop.

The fall colors around my neighborhood in Seattle have been really nice. I love those pinkish, red colors. And those leaves on the ground look so perfect. Autumm seems to go by fast, and before we know it, Christmas arrives. So, it's nice to live in the moment and soak it in.

A really rich and sweet Halloween doughnut from Krispy Kreme. Just right for Halloween time!
