Dinner at Outlier in Downtown Seattle
A fun Strawberry Poptart Shake from Outlier in Seattle.
Located inside Seattle's Hotel Monaco is Outlier. They're a craft burger bar and I couldn't wait to check them out. I may have been swayed by their lineup of mouthwatering shakes, all topped with yummy sweets. Outlier's interior was dim, with high ceilings and eye-catching lighting fixtures.
We were there for happy hour, so my husband and I ordered an Old Fashioned to drink. To eat, I had the Outlier Poutine which had fries, cheese curds, beef brisket, and green chili gravy, and jalapenos. It was steaming hot and a huge portion. It was served in a skillet, so the poutine stayed really hot. I loved the cheese curds and they created an epic cheese pull with each bite. The brisket was nice, if a little under seasoned. The dish was nice and spicy from the jalapenos.
My husband had the Outlier Burger. It was a big burger and he also added crispy onions. Our sons shared some Parmesan Truffle Fries and a pretzel, which turned out to be two pretzel buns served with beer cheese.
For dessert, we shared one of the shakes. We chose the Strawberry Poptart shake which was a strawberry shake with a strawberry Poptart, raspberries, a chocolate covered strawberry, and whipped cream. Since we all shared, it was just the right amount!
Since the restrooms are located in the hotel part, we were able to check out the lobby. Hotel Monaco is a gorgeous hotel, and they are part of the Kimpton hotels.
Outlier's food was decent, but pricey. I would recommend going for happy hour since our drinks were only $9 each. Which is pretty inexpensive these days for a cocktail. Or just go and treat yourself to one of the fun shakes!
