Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I first visited Poquitos in 2012, also for happy hour, and I remembered liking it then, too. Happy Hour at Duke's Seafood in Bellevue

Over on the eastside and looking for a good happy hour? Check out Duke's Seafood, located in Lincoln Center. Last month, my family and I were hanging out in Bellevue at the park and Bellevue Square, and we wanted some dinner. We didn't want to spend too much, but we wanted a nice drink and something tasty to eat. After looking up some places around, we decided on Duke's. Their prices for food and drink are pretty reasonable, and you receive top notch service, too. What's not to like?

For cocktails, I selected a Peaches for Me, a drink with Grey Goose Essence White Peach and Rosemary Vodka, and it was less than nine bucks. Super refreshing and fruity for summer! My husband had a Mai Tai, served in a cool sideways glass. Our boys ordered food off of the kids' menu. My sons had some Fettuccini Alfredo that was really, really good. They also give you complimentary bread, which is always a nice touch. To eat, I had the Topless Wild Alaska Salmon Sliders from the HH menu. These were served on Rosemary Bread from the Essential Baking Co and had basil pesto and fresh tomato. They were chef's kiss!

Remember this happy hour spot next time you're in Bellevue!
