Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Trying cake from We Take the Cake for our wedding anniversary

For a special anniversary dessert to celebrate fifteen years of marriage, we ordered a cake from We Take the Cake. I ordered the cake through goldbelly.com. I chose the Pink Rose Chocolate 2-layer cake.

I thought it was a gorgeous cake. It had pink roses in frosting form, covering the cake. I selected this cake because roses are what you give on your fifteen-year wedding anniversary. My husband, not knowing this fact, gave me a red rose. The cake ended up not only looking fabulous but tasted delicious. There was a layer of chocolate fudge between the two chocolate layers that was lip smacking good. The pink frosting was thick and sweet, just the way I like it! And the chocolate cake was soft and moist. I used my Happy Anniversary cake topper I bought last year on Amazon.

This was the perfect cake to celebrate our anniversary!
