Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I first visited Poquitos in 2012, also for happy hour, and I remembered liking it then, too. Trying Tea and Soft Serve at the new Chamei Matcha

A delicious Ube soft serve from Chamei Matcha, inside Bellevue Square Mall.

If you check out my blog I'm sure you know I love soft serve. And when a new place opens, I usually go. Just recently, a spot called Chamei Matcha opened inside Bellevue Square. I'm not a huge Matcha fan, so I was happy to see they have other soft serve flavors such a Ube, Chocolate, Hojicha, Vanilla, and Black Sesame.

They also offer a wide variety of drinks. They have tea, floats, Frappuccino, and Lattes. They also serve fresh Fish Taiyaki and Bingsu. They have quite a wide variety of Japanese treats and drinks! I chose a Strawberry Cheezo Fruit Tea and some Ube soft serve in a cup with some Rainbow Mochi.

The tea was really nice and fruity. It was really good with the cheese foam on top. The drink could have been a bit sweeter, but it was still really tasty and there were some nice strawberry chunks, too. The soft serve was really nice and creamy. And the Ube flavor came though well. The mochi paired really well with the ice cream and took it up a notch. All in all, this is a great addition to Bellevue Square. Such a good location for grabbing a yummy treat while at the mall!
