Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I first visited Poquitos in 2012, also for happy hour, and I remembered liking it then, too. Welcome to December

December has arrived! That means the holidays are here and Seattle is once again aglow with lights. One of the things my family enjoys doing every December is walking around Downtown Seattle and checking out the holiday displays. We just happened to drive past Westlake Park and see their new display. There were lights everywhere and there were a few people taking selfies. This is a safe and fun festive activity since it's outside and people are pretty spread out around the park. I'm glad that the city is decorated even though we're still in a pandemic.

The Space Needle is also once again lit up with its tree on top. We drove to Kerry Park to check it out the scene there and take in the views. I'll be getting more photos later in the month, too. The Bon Marche Star is a little different this year and now does a special light display. We drove by it, but I couldn't get any decent shots from the car. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season and spending time with my family.
