Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

  Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I first visited Poquitos in 2012, also for happy hour, and I remembered liking it then, too. Ordering Lil' Woody's on Door Dash

 For my birthday this year my brother got me a Door Dash gift card. It was a clever gift considering how much I love food. I haven't used these food delivery apps very much and it was my first time using Door Dash. I chose to have food delivered from Lil' Woody's. We've eaten from there before and really liked it. Plus, their Special this week is a Lil Crunch Wrap. They're currently doing their Fast Food Month where every week they recreate a classic fast food item from. Each week they recreate an item from popular fast food joints, but they use high quality ingredients. 

So this week they're serving a Lil Crunch Wrap. Lil' Woody's uses Painted Hills Beef in theirs, along with Chipotle Mayo, Shredded Lettuce, Pico De Gallo, served in a Tostada. I added Cheddar Cheese to mine. And it also arrived with a container of in-house Queso. Yum! It was messy for sure, but it was really tasty. Especially dipped in the Queso. The Crunch Wrap was huge, so I polished off half and saved the rest for the next day.

We also shared a large order of fries, which we dipped in the Queso. To drink, we shared a Chocolate Shake. It was pretty small and not very rich and chocolatey, but my kids loved it. My husband had a burger with Painted Hills Beef, Cheddar Cheese, Onions Rings, and BBQ sauce. I didn't take a photo since it looked a little smashed from the transit. 

My experience using Door Dash was positive. The food arrived really fast, about 25 minutes after I ordered it. And the food was hot and fresh, so it was a win.
