Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

  Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I first visited Poquitos in 2012, also for happy hour, and I remembered liking it then, too. Lunch at Mama Blancas in Whitefish, MT

The Carne Asada Street Tacos from Mama Blancas. 

One of the best things we ate on our trip to MT were the Carne Asada Street Tacos from Mama Blancas in Whitefish. My husband and I were in downtown Whitefish and lunch was quickly approaching. We walked around until we found a restaurant that looked good that we hadn't eaten at before. We came across Mama Blancas, a Latin Fution place.

The menu posted in the window looked really yummy, so we headed on in. I started with a really refreshing and strong White Sangria. It tasted so good and was also a pretty drink. My husband had a shot of Tequila and a Bud Light. We had some chips and salsa and we both had the Street Tacos. The flavor of the tacos was spot on and I couldn't stop thinking about them days later. We left satisfied for sure and I'm glad we stopped in!
