Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I first visited Poquitos in 2012, also for happy hour, and I remembered liking it then, too. It was time for a meal there again.  For dessert, we walked about ten minutes west to  Voodoo Doughnut . The Seattle location opened late last ye...

Checking out Wing Dome's waterfront patio

The weather in Seattle is finally hot and sunny. There are many outdoor restaurants with patios where you can relax and get your grub on. We recently checked out Wing Dome's Seattle waterfront location and sat outside on their patio. You order and pay inside and then take a seat outside. The views of the water and the boats are nice, and the city views are good, too. It was early, so our family just got two appetizers. We shared some Krinkle Cut Fries and Cheese Curds. Both were yummy, hot, and fresh. My husband and I each had a Mai Tai. The drink was really refreshing and hit the spot. We also shared a cocktail which had Vodka, Cranberry Juice, and Pineapple Juice. It was really good and strong. The drinks were 10 bucks each, which is a pretty good deal. My son had a Lemonade and my other son had Apple Juice. The service was fast and really casual. This is the perfect spot to hang out this summer!

The awesome Cheese Curds which were nice and hot. They were a little garlicky, too. This cocktail was the one with Cranberry Juice, Vodka, and Pineapple Juice.

Cheers to Mai Tai's on the patio!

After eating, we walked down the waterfront a little to soak up the sun. Love the view of the Seattle Great Wheel!
