Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

  Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I first visited Poquitos in 2012, also for happy hour, and I remembered liking it then, too. Pagliacci Pizza Delivery With Free Cupcake Royale Cupcakes

Pizza and Cupcakes are two of my favorite things. And today only, Pagliacci Pizza is giving away two cupcakes from Cupcake Royale with each pizza order. These are two iconic and popular Seattle businesses teaming up to give people some delicious eats. Pagliacci has been doing this every week with different local places. They also have contact-less delivery. I called in my order and in forty minutes there was a text and they delivered the pizza near by front door. Just another way to keep everyone safe right now and practice social distancing. 

We chose two medium pizzas. One was the Original- their awesome cheese pizza. And the other pizza was half Extra Pepperoni and half Verdura Primo. This one has artichokes, Mama Lil's Peppers, spinach, parsley, ricotta and fresh mozzorella, on a pesto base. We've had their pizza plenty of times over the years, but only slices. Their whole pizzas are so fresh and satisfying. 

Cupcake Royale is opening back up today for pick-up and call-in orders. What a neat and generous thing for them and Pagliacci to give out free cupcakes. The two cupcakes are Dance Party and Salted Caramel. Cupcake Royale are my favorite Seattle cupcakes and I was delighted to have them again. My two boys, however, each grabbed one and I was lucky to get a few bites. But before I know it, we'll be back at one of their shops, chilling and grubbing on cupcakes. Our lunch today was a fun and tasty one, and brightened up our Saturday a little.
