Bistro Box Restaurant and Bar

Seattle's had a really rainy winter and it will probably be rainy for a while. So what food is perfect for this kind of weather? Noodles! My husband's been craving ramen for a hot minute, and we couldn't make up our mind on where to go. I noticed some foodies on Instagram posting about a brand new spot in SODO, right across the street from T-Mobile Park. Bistro Box Restaurant and Bar looked too good to not pay a visit.

What drew us in was seeing the wide variety of Asian food on the menu. From ramen, sushi, bento boxes, and a huge array of appetizers, there's something for everyone. Plus they have bubble tea and a full bar. And for desserts, they even have Taiyaki, the yummy fish shaped waffles with fillings, and mochi ice cream.

I started with a Rum and Coke and a Peach Green Tea with boba. My husband and I shared an order of the Chicken Katsu Buns. These little sandwiches had fried chicken patties and lettuce in a fluffy white bun. The chicken was crispy and juicy, and the buns were really soft. My husband was happy to see such a wide variety of ramen on the menu. Their broths are cooked for ten hours. He chose the Chicken Katsu Ramen. I selected one of the Bento Boxes. I chose two orders of Teriyaki Chicken for my box along with rice and salad so I could share with my sons.

Since Bistro Box is new and people are still finding out about them, it wasn't very busy. So the service was really fast and accommodating. The location is great since they're right by T-Mobile Park. I can see them getting packed before and after games. They have a very large screen that flashed images from different cities around the world. My boys were big fans since they like cities so much.

For dessert, we shared three of the mochi ice creams. We had the green tea, mango, and strawberry. They were cut into pieces and topped with whipped cream and cherries. The presentation was so pretty! We'll be back to try more of their extensive menu.
