Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Scenes from the Season in Downtown Seattle

I visited Downtown Seattle yesterday afternoon to check out the Gingerbread Village at the Sheraton and to walk around the city.  It was super busy and parking was a mess but I couldn't resist checking everything out.  I'm a sucker for Christmas decorations and everything just begs to be photographed.  I love all of the buildings and its always neat to see the lit up star on Macy's.  Come on, its a tradition and put up every year like clockwork for us to admire.  The theme this year for the Gingerbread Village was Harry Potter and it was very busy for a Wednesday afternoon.  The displays were  original and you could see how much detail went into every piece.  They were colorful and imaginative, too.  I think everyone else had the same idea to check them out because the lines to view the displays wrapped through the lobby of the hotel.  But if its Christmastime in Seattle, you've got to check out downtown and its many events.
