Four Places For Hawaiian Food In Seattle
Marination Mai Kai
This Hawaiian spot on Alki Beach not only boasts a killer view of the water and the Seattle skyline, but the food is on point and authentic and a meal you'll never forget. I tried the Kalua Pork Sliders, the Spam Macaroni Salad, and the Strawberry Shaved Ice. See my full post here.
Ma'ono
At the beginning of the year I tried brunch at Ma'ono in West Seattle and it didn't disappoint. For some Hawaiian style goodies, some of the dishes I had were the Warm Portuguese Sweet Rolls with Nutella and the Coconut-Fruit French Toast. The pineapple on top with the coconut shavings were so tasty and brought me back to Hawaii. Plus I loved the coconut butter to pour over the whole thing. See the full post here.
goPoke
For super fresh and authentic Hawaiian poke, head to Seattle's International District to goPoke. Try the Spicy kinds of poke if you want a kick and really want to warm up from the winter chill. But if that's too spicy, balance it with a Pineapple Dole Whip, you know you want one. See the full post here.
Super Six
This friendly Hawaiian spot in Columbia City will warm your heart and satisfy your belly. Really want to feel like you're in Hawaii? Order a rum drink served in a pineapple. That will do the trick and you'll almost forget its forty degrees outside. If you like ham, try the Quesadilla which also has pineapple and cilantro. The flavors brought me back to Hawaii for sure. Also try the pancakes because they're served with Toasted Macadamia Butter and Haupia Syrup. For even more flavors of Hawaii, the Hawaiian French Toast is made with a Malasada loaf, bacon, and sticky toffee syrup. And finally, you can't sample Hawaiian cuisine without indulging in a sweet Malasada doughnut with coconut filling. See the full post here.
