Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Eggnog Snickerdoodles

It was time to buy a little Eggnog when I found a recipe for Eggnog Snickerdoodles because they sounded divine.  Everyone loves the classic Snickerdoodle recipe.  With vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg, they are delicious and we all have happy memories eating them as kids.  But the eggnog gives them a holiday twist and these cookies are not to be missed out on.  The recipe I used only made twelve cookies so I would recommend doubling it.  My cookies turned out wonderful, so soft because of the eggnog, and I love all of the cinnamon and nutmeg flavor.  Every bite tastes like Christmas.  So put on a Christmas movie and bake these up and I promise it will get you in the holiday spirit.

The recipe I used was from Amyshealthybaking.com and you can find it here
