Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I first visited Poquitos in 2012, also for happy hour, and I remembered liking it then, too. Wabi-Sabi Sushi Bar and Restaurant

Wabi-Sabi is located in Columbia City, along Restaurant Row.  My family and I dined there the other night and we enjoyed the Happy Hour, which was great because it was throughout the restaurant and was an extensive menu.  The cocktails are all handcrafted and unique.  I tried a Sake Chocolate Tini which was about the best thing I've ever drank.  The sushi list on the HH menu was long and we took advantage.  We got the California Roll, Avocado Roll, Spicy Saki Maki, Poke Maki, and the Sake Poke Maki.  The presentation was beautiful with all of the sushi on one plate.  But before sushi, we had chicken Gyozas with a ginger citrus soy sauce which we loved, and we also had Takoyaki-fried battered octopus balls.  My sons shared the bento box from the kids menu with Teriyaki Chicken.  The service was attentive and the vibe and ambiance had a nice laid back feel.
