Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I first visited Poquitos in 2012, also for happy hour, and I remembered liking it then, too. Lunch at Seattle's Hard Rock Cafe

I visited a Hard Rock Cafe years ago in Vegas and when I heard Seattle was getting one I was excited.  Its right downtown on Pike Street close to Pike Place Market.  I finally went and ate lunch there today.  I've always like music and guitars, who doesn't? So I've always thought a restaurant based on that theme is cool.  Today I enjoyed looking at guitars from Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains, two incredible bands.  The food was decent, too.  I ate a huge burger called a Red, White and Blue.  It had a thick beef patty, bleu cheese, an onion ring, lettuce, spicy buffalo sauce on a brioche bun.  Not bad for a Wednesday lunch.  My husband and I shared a drink that had Red Bull, mango puree and orange juice and he ate a BBQ chicken sandwich.  We polished off our lunch with a crème brulee which we shared.  We were stuffed!
