Sequim Eats
During our weekend in Sequim, we ate at Black Bear Diner, El Cazador and had a cupcake at That Takes the Cake.
The Black Bear Diner is new in town and we just had to check it out. It was Saturday around lunchtime and they were packed, so my husband and I had to wait about twenty minutes for a table. Perfect, because that meant we could go outside and photograph all the bears! We loved the bear theme of the place, kind of reminded me of our trip to Anchorage and Montana, where I grew up. They serve American and the prices were very good and the portions were huge! Definitely a take half home and eat it later kind of place. They also serve huckleberry ice cream and shakes but we were too full for dessert. There's always next time and I found out there's a Black Bear Diner in Federal Way.

Next up is a Mexican Restaurant called El Cazador. We had lunch there on Sunday. We've eaten there before and the food and service is always good. El Cazador is the restaurant below the huge mill on Washington St.

Driving through Sequim down Washington St, I noticed a new Cupcake shop, That Takes the Cake. My niece had told me about it and I almost forgot about it. I spotted it out of the car and shrieked. "We've got to go there after lunch!" Yes, cupcakes for dessert and a new place to check out. Score! The cupcakes were delicious and they even offer three different sizes. We were full from too much Mexican food, so we shared a medium sized cupcake, a Champagne with Raspberry. The frosting was thick and rich like I like it. The owner, Sue was super friendly too. All in all, what a cute new cupcake business to have in the town of Sequim. I told Sue I will be back for sure on my next visit to town.
