Dinner at Fonda La Catrina

Tonight my husband and I ate at a new Mexican Restaurant in Georgetown called Fonda La Catrina.  It was busy, it being Saturday night and all, and the service was not so wonderful.  But the food, I loved the food.  Those tacos were nothing like I've ever had.  One bite and it felt like I'd died and gone to heaven.  I ordered the Steak Tacos which is St Helens grass fed hanger steak with green peppers, white onions, bacon and avacodo plus pepperjack cheese holding it all together in corn tortillas.  It came with four tacos and yes, I ate them all.  We started off with the Guacamole Con Totopos, homemade tortilla chips with sea salt with guacamole and spicy salsa.  We polished that off and waited on stools at a long counter in the corner and waited, then waited some more, for our server to come take our food order.  When our food finally arrived, we dug in and enjoyed every bite.  My husband ordered the Chicken Tamales and enjoyed them with a super spicy green sauce that was on our table.  He likes his food hot, and hot it was as sweat dripped down this face.  I couldn't believe I ate all my tacos, I loved them!

My husbands' Chicken Tameles with black beans, cilantro, white onions, cream, and Queso Fresco.

Soo good! My Steak Tacos. Even better with some lime.
