Georgetown Bites and Sites 2025

From the restaurant Mezzanotte, we tried a Panino made with focaccia with pickled mustard seed and prosciutto from the Georgetown Bites and Sites event.

Every March, Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood hold a food walk, Georgetown Bites and Sites. I enjoy attending every year and trying the local spots. Before you can start eating and drinking, you buy tickets. Each ticket is $5, and each business participating will give you a food, drink, or specialty item in exchange for one ticket. You are encouraged to tip at each place, and you can add some dollar bills to your total when buying your tickets, if you don't have any cash. There were 34 places who participated in the event. You're given a map and list of spots to go to. Our family went, so I purchased 12 tickets for us. This ended up being the perfect amount and we were able to visit seven spots!

It was lunchtime so our first stop was Post Pike Bar and Cafe. Like most of the places we went yesterday, we've frequented before. For their event item, Post Pike had pizza slices, one slice per ticket. We all ate one slice. We hadn't tried their pizza before, and it slapped. This was some of the best pizza I've had, and it was pretty fresh tasting for slices. I enjoyed a Pepperoni Slice. The sauce was on the sweeter side which I'm not mad about, and I loved the pepperoni cups.

My son loves to visit Fran's Chocolates, and since they were participating in the food event, we went there next. Every time you visit Fran's you get a free chocolate piece to try. My Salted Caramel Chocolate was divine. My son exchanged a ticket for a Chocolate Almond Gold Bar. These bars are amazing. The caramel and nuts are the best part, and the chocolate is rich and smooth.

My free sample.

My son's Chocolate Almond Gold Bar, which he let me finish!

Then we went right across the street to El Sirenito for a Mini Paloma cocktail for myself and my husband. We sat on their outdoor patio and the server brought our drinks right after I handed her two tickets. These cute drinks were small, but delicious! A Paloma is Tequila and grapefruit juice, with a salted rim.

They even had some entertainment at the event! There were people playing instruments, which added to the overall vibes.

My sons each got cookies from Lowrider Cookie Co. For one ticket, they were offering two cookies- The Brown Butter Triple Chocolate Chip and the Birthday Cake Cookie. Lowrider has some of the best cookies in Seattle!

My son's BD Cake cookie. Love this cookie!

After some cookies, we walked over to Mezzanotte. We've eaten at this Italian spot once before. For this event they had a Piccolo Panini- a grilled house focaccia with pickled mustard seed, prosciutto cotto, with tomato parmesan aioli. My husband and I shared this one. It was messy because of the aioli, but so good.

Matcha Man Ice Cream is always fun, and for this event they were doing either a soft serve cone or in a cup. I chose a Pineapple Dole Whip with coconut shaving and rainbow sprinkles. By this point in the food walk, I was getting full, so I handed it off to my son to finish.

Our last stop was Georgetown Brewing Company. By this point we had one ticket left. My husband wanted to try their beer flight with four, 4 oz local Beers. The beers were Manny's, Roger's, Lucille, and Bodhi. I tried all four and liked the Bodhi the best. This was our first time at this all-ages brewery. It was pretty large with lots of seating.

Our family had a good time at this year's Georgetown Bites and Sites! This neighborhood has some solid events. I'm looking forward to the Georgetown Carnival June 14th!
