Checking out Animal Kingdom Lodge | Dinner at Sanaa

The magnificent lobby at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. At this resort, you'll find two lobby's and there's a shuttle to take you between the two. This is Animal Kingdom's Lodge's main building- Jambo House. The other lobby is Kidani Village. Definitely worth visiting both!

During our Animal Kingdom day, we took a break from the park and took a quick Disney bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge for dinner. We got off the bus at the Kidani Village stop and entered the lobby. This is where our reservation at Sanaa was. I was blown away by both lobbies of the resort. There are also four lush savannas with over 200 animals. We went outside to check out the giraffes that wander freely around. There's a large viewing area outside where you can see the animals.

Since we had a little time before dinner, we caught a shuttle in the front of the hotel to the main building, Jamba House, to check out the lobby. A shuttle comes every fifteen minutes, and the ride is just a few minutes long. After taking a bunch of photos and letting the boys run around for a few minutes, we caught the shuttle back to Kidani Village for dinner.

Such a striking lobby at Kidani Village!

From the outside viewing area. The giraffes were so cute!

I loved this grand lobby at the Jambo House lobby.

Sanaa serves African and Indian cuisine, all with views of the savannah. I forgot to request a table with a view of the savannah, so I notified our host, and they were able to seat us by the window with a view.

I started with a Painted Lemur cocktail. This drink has a Amarula fruit cream liqueur and a Van Der Hum Tangerine liqueur from South Africa, and then it's combined in a chocolate-striped glass. The drink was creamy, sweet, and rich, and reminded me of a White Russian with chocolate. You really can't go wrong here.

One of the most popular things to order at Sanaa is the Indian-Style Bread Service. You receive five different kinds of Naan Bread, along with nine kinds of sauces. It was so fun trying all nine types of accompaniments. Some were really spicey and some sauces were sweet. But they were all so interesting and packed with flavor!

The dining room at Sanaa was gorgeous!

My Painted Lemur drink!

For my entree, I chose the Butter Chicken. It came with Basmati Rice and a side. I chose the Lentil Daal. My entree arrived in three bowls. Our helpful server told me to mix everything on the large plate underneath the bowls. The serving was huge, and I wasn't able to finish everything. It tasted good, but I've had better Butter Chicken before. I did love the Naan Bread with the sauces and the cocktail the most. My sons ordered from the kid's menu, choosing a Cheeseburger with rice and fruit.

Such a cool looking restaurant!

After we were done with our meals, we caught a resort bus back to Animal Kingdom. We had about two hours before the park closed and I still wanted to ride Exhibition Everest! I'm so happy we checked out Animal Kingdom Lodge. This deluxe resort is worth a visit for sure!
