Happy Hour and Dessert in Capitol Hill

Happy Hour Street Tacos with Carne Asada and a Miami Vice from Poquitos.  Poquitos is located in Capitol Hill and they're serving up authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Their happy hour deal is a good one- during Ocho hour, everything on the happy hour menu is just $8! I went with a Miami Vice, a classic Pina Colada with Strawberry. This blended cocktail was so fruity and delicious. To eat I had two Carne Asada Street Tacos and a Birria Poquitos Burrito. The Burrito was small and served with a side of Consommé sauce. Both food items were tasty and satisfying.  My husband also had some Street Tacos and a Margarita from the happy hour menu. My sons had a Cheese Quesadilla and beans and rice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I first visited Poquitos in 2012, also for happy hour, and I remembered liking it then, too. It was time for a meal there again.  For dessert, we walked about ten minutes west to  Voodoo Doughnut . The Seattle location opened late last ye...

A Visit to Hollywood Studios

The Slinky Dog Dash coaster is a family coaster that goes 40 miles per hour.

Hollywood Studios is a Disney World Park that has it all. Since my boys and I adore Toy Story, we really enjoyed Toy Story Land. None of us are Star Wars fans, but we did love the way Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge looks. Since I already covered tons of stuff from our day in my Everything we ate and drank in Hollywood Studios post, this post will be all of the park scenes and photos I took.

The first thing you see when you go through Hollywood Studios' entrance is the Chinese Theater. This is the park's main icon. This is also where Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railroad ride is. We loved this ride!

The entrance to Toy Story Land is so cute!

We loved watching this coaster fly by!

The Green Army Men from Toy Story walked by while we were in line for lunch at Woody's Lunch Box.

The exit to Toy Story Land has a large Buzz Lightyear.

The main focal point of Star Wars land is the huge Millennium Falcon. This is also where the Smugglers Run ride is. To the left of the photo is where we ate dinner at Docking Bay 7. After walking around for a bit, we took our mid-day break at the Art of Animation Resort.

When we returned from our break, we rode Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railroad.

Then we returned to a galaxy far, far away and saw these Stormtroopers.

I got some cool shots in the evening as the sun went down.

I had to get a shot at night of the Millennium Falcon!

After eating dinner and having a drink at Oga's Cantina, we went back to Toy Story Land to ride Slinky Dog Dash!

The wait all day for Slinky was around 90 minutes, so we just waited about an hour before the park closed. We still had to wait about 45 minutes though.

My son and I loved this ride! For a family coaster, it still went nice and fast and was thrilling. At night, this ride was really great!

Then we left Hollywood Studios and hopped on a resort bus back to our hotel. But first, we got to see the fireworks over the Chinese Theater. What a perfect ending to our Disney World Trip- riding Slinky Dog and seeing fireworks!

Thanks for checking out my Disney World posts! I had such a magical time and would love to return someday!
