Lunch at Smarty Pants in Georgetown
A refreshing Aperol Spritz from Smarty Pants in Georgetown.
Nestled in one of Seattle's oldest neighborhoods, Georgetown, is Smarty Pants. A 21 and over spot, with great food and drinks. The owners are two Chicago natives who moved to Seattle. When they couldn't find the food they loved from home, they made it at Smarty Pants.
They have a large outdoor patio, which was a pleasant surprise to us. The tables were even covered, and it felt like an oasis along Airport Way S. I ordered an Aperol Spritz and my husband had a Purple Knee High, a cocktail with Chambord, a raspberry liqueur. The drinks were strong and not expensive. We shared one of the sandwiches, the Chicago Italian Beer with coleslaw. The sandwich was spicy from the peppers, and we enjoyed the flavor of the roasted beef.
The interior at Smarty Pants is motor-sports themed. They even have bike night every Wednesday where they have motorcycle races and shows on their big screen. The vibe of this place fits Georgetown perfectly. Smarty Pants is one of those bars that's been around awhile, but this was only my second time visiting.
