A visit to Cafe Canuc in the U-District

Croffles from Cafe Canuc in Seattle's U-District.

My husband and I had a little mini date at Cafe Canuc. We enjoyed a Croffle and shared a colorful, sparkling juice. Croffles are a mix between a croissant and a waffle. Whoever created this pastry is a genius.

This cafe couldn't be any cuter. The floors are whitewashed and the decor is French farmhouse. The cafe has warm, neutral colors, and this spot is basically made for social media. The drinks are pretty and perfect for Instagram. The Croffles are tasty and unique, but petite and dainty for hearty eaters.

The downsides were they had no menu, and you needed to use the QR code. There also wasn't a restroom for customers. We found the Croffles to be on the pricier side. I had a Pistachio one and my husband had one with salmon and cream cheese. Both Croffles were definitely tasty, they just seemed small for the price.

The drink we ordered was the Nice, a sparkling juice. It came with a cool cloud on the straw. It was too sweet, and we were wishing we had ordered a hot drink for the cold, January day.

Pop in here for the warm vibes and maybe share a Croffle, just so you can try one.
