Dinner at Stella.

My family and I recently dined at Stella. at the Hotel Sorrento. Stella. currently has patio seating outside in the hotel's courtyard. They serve coastal Italian-inspired cuisine with locally sourced ingredients. I started with a Watermelon Margarita while my husband had a Manhattan. My son ordered a chocolate milk and it arrived with several cute toys placed on the rim.

We ordered some small plates to share and one main dish to share. We had some Potato Bread with salted butter first, then my sons shared some shoestring fries. The two small plates we got were the Risotto Arancini and the Burrata Salad. The main we chose was a pasta with lamb that was incredible. The lamb was really tender and the pasta was perfectly cooked. The Burrata was nice and creamy and was served with Arugula, pesto, some nuts, and several pieces of Bologna. It tasted even better with some of the bread. The Arancini, which are fried rice balls, tasted pretty similar to the others I've tried.

For dessert we all shared the Ricotta Fritters with a Huckleberry Compote. These arrived to the table and we dug in. They looked like small round donuts and were filled with a Ricotta filling. They were really tasty, especially with the delicious huckleberry sauce. My husband and I also shared a glass of Cognac, some Courvoisier.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Stella. It felt like we were dining somewhere on the Italian Coast. I liked the hotel's architecture, which was right behind us. This is a great spot for outdoor dining in Seattle!
