Brunch Takeout with Cocktails To Go from Oddfellows Cafe

By the time the weekend rolls around again, brunch always sounds like a good plan. I just upped my brunch game because now in Seattle you can get cocktails to go. Before it was cocktail kits, but now when you order food to go from restaurants, you can also purchase cocktails. They need to be in sealed containers though, so nobody gets an ideas about drinking them in their car or at some park nearby. I believe the cocktails to go thing will end sometime in June when restaurants start opening  their dining rooms again.

I wanted to take advantage while I could, so I kept an eye out on Instagram for any unique or yummy sounding drinks the local restaurants would have. Oddfellows Café on Capital Hill posted a photo with cocktails served in bags with straws for just $10. I'd yet to see anyone in Seattle ever sell this product, so I was excited. In NYC, they have these drinks on rooftop bars, and in Vancouver and L.A, you can find these filled with Boba Tea. Yum!

So I put in my order online for brunch. I just selected what time I wanted to pick up my order and paid with my card. Then two days later, I headed to Capital Hill to get some awesome brunch eats and drinks. My husband got their Bloody Mary and I ordered the Grapefruit Cooler. It had Cocchi Americano, Bubbles, and Grapefruit. My husband ordered the Homemade Biscuit and Eggs and I had the Brioche French Toast with fruit compote. Our sons had the Beignets.

Back at home, we unpacked everything and grubbed. The drink bags were cool looking, but super large. I came nowhere close to drinking all of mine. My French Toast was really thick and the fruit compote was fresh and satisfying. I was supposed to add powdered sugar and butter on top, but I forgot. I miss going out to restaurants, but for now we'll work with what we've got. Cheers!
