The Green Lake Pathway of Lights
This past Saturday, December 8th, was the Green Lake Pathway of Lights. This free, family friendly holiday event was hosted by the Seattle Parks and Recreation. People could donate canned food which went to the Benefit Family Works. They had luminaries around the lake, concessions, live music, and hot air balloons on display. People were encouraged to wear strings of lights and bring other accessories that lit up. The night was dark and cold, but the community came together for this awesome event. There were lights everywhere, even lining the dock. Our favorite park were the hot air balloons, since we'd never seen them close up before. There were five, all lined up together on the grass with their flames lit. There was a light show with the hot air balloons and they were all illuminated against the night sky. It was incredible to see and to photograph.
