Dinner at the Cactus Club in Vancouver
On our second night in Vancouver we dined at Cactus Club Café. They're a local chain serving modern Canadian cuisine. They currently have thirty locations in Canada. We had dinner at the Robson Street location. It was packed since it was the day before Christmas Eve and everyone was out on the town. We only waited about twenty minutes for a table and we were seated in their outdoor, heated area. It was so warm and cozy and really dark. I loved the atmosphere. It was also Sunday Funday on the menu. That meant some of the cocktails were only four or five bucks, and that was Canadian prices.
I started with a Pina Colada and it was really refreshing. I was getting warm with the outdoor heaters, so the cocktail tasted great. To eat, I had the Mini Crispy Chicken Sandwiches. I enjoyed every bite. They had spicy panko-crusted chicken, Swiss cheese, Sambal mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onions. Not only were they cute, but they had just the right amount of spicy and the chicken was really crunchy from the panko. My husband had the Kale and Chicken Salad, which he really enjoyed. They use a parmesan crumble which gives the kale a nice crunch. Our sons shared an order of the chicken strips and fries with honey mustard.
For my second drink, since I wanted to take advantage of the Sunday Funday deal, I had a Whiskey Ginger Smash. It was delicious and refreshing and reminded me of a Whiskey Sour. For a chain, I was impressed with the food and drinks from Cactus Club. They have something good going on and that's why they're all over Canada. Oh, and if you don't want to miss the game, there's small screens in each restroom stall. That night, the Seahawks were playing. Go Hawks!
I love your blog post about dinner at the Cactus Club. It's a really interesting read. I also like that you shared your experience of getting a follow on Instagram. I'm always curious about how people manage their Instagram accounts and I'm glad you shared your experience with me.
