An Afternoon In Redmond, WA
Located sixteen miles east of Seattle is Redmond, WA, home of Microsoft and Nintendo of America, is a nice escape on a sunny Saturday afternoon. We ate Brunch at Agave Cocina and Cantina, checked out the Redmond Saturday Market, and wandered around the Redmond Town Center.
For brunch I started with a Mimosa. Advertised for four bucks, I couldn't resist. They brought out chips right away and they arrived with three kinds of salsa. I had the seafood ceviche which was very fresh with guacamole, tomatoes, cilantro, and shrimp. My husband had the Chicken Chimichanga with a cream sauce and my kids split the French toast, sausage, eggs, and potatoes from the kids' menu.
Then we drove over to the Redmond Saturday Market. It was a typical farmer's market with flower stalls, fresh fruit and local produce, homemade caramels, and more. There were snow cones for sale that everyone seemed to be enjoying because the day was so warm.
Finally, much to our kid's joy, we headed to the Redmond Town Center, a large outdoor mall with a kid's area and a fountain to splash around in. We had a fun family friendly outing in Redmond and I can see why Redmond's been voted one of the top U.S towns to live in.
